War Between Abhishek and Vikram in RAAVAN

Ever since Mani Ratnam released the first impressions of his upcoming project, movie fans nationwide have been discussing their favourite Raavan - ol' dog Vikram or Big B's boy Abhishek!

For Junior B, this could be that one movie that exploits his size and a face he shares with no other in Bollywood's A-list. The serious brooding we saw in Sarkar could make a return and the slick dialogue delivery from Bluffmaster.

Abhishek's immediate advantage over Vikram is obviously his six-foot tall frame! The actor, therefore, stands nearly a foot taller than his counterpart and there's also the ease of working with Mani Ratnam (this is Abhishek's third venture with the director).

Then there is the language. Vikram, in an interview, revealed that there had been an initial struggle with Hindi but has since learnt to tame it. Language stutters are obviously no reason to fear, but we're only hinting at a tiny drop in dialogue quality when compared to at-home Abhishek.

However, all summed up, the Kollywood actor has on his side an astonishing amount of experience. The young Bachchan could find it difficult to match Vikram's trademark intensity, a talent that he's so masterfully shaped through all these years in films. There was Sethu and, yes, the unforgettable Pithamagan. Two astoundingly brilliant performances that shot Vikram to orbital fame in Tamil cinema. Raavan could just be a walk in the park.
