Though Simran was born in Mumbai and made her debut in the Hindi film Tere Mere Sapne, Simran later on moved to the Tamil movie industry and established herself as a actress of repute. Simran's notable films include Kanannethere Thondrinal, Vaali and Kannathil Muthamittal.
