Akshay more action with Rowdy Rathore

Now Akshay Kumar is learning traditional combat karate for his role in `Rowdy Rathore`. He is a black belt in Taekwondo.

The 43-year-old actor, who is extremely fitness conscious, will soon be heading to an undisclosed location for two months to train in this form of martial art.

Directed by Prabhudeva, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and co-produced by designer Shabinaa Khan, the film has Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay.

"The movie will introduce to audiences a new kind of sport and being the professional that he is, Akshay has decided to take two months off to train intensively in combat karate," said a source.

"Set in the rustic heartland of the country, the film has a lot of action and required a star who knew the technical know-hows of his dangerous sport. Akshay seemed the perfect fit since being a trained martial arts professional he could pull the role off with panache," the source added.

Katrina Kaif busy for DHOOM 3

Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan in Yesh Raj Film’s Dhoom3. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were also considered for the role, but ultimately it went to Kat.

‘Dhoom 3’ would be Katrina’s fifth film with the banner. The actress has just wrapped up ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ opposite Imran Khan and is soon to start shooting for Kabir Khan`s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with Salman Khan. She is also doing Yash Chopra`s next with Shah Rukh Khan.

Speaking to a daily, a source informed, "Kats will have a sexy makeover for the film, as per the tradition. A Dhoom girl is supposed to look extremely sensous.


Now, going by the past record, will Katrina be asked to tone up her body for the film remains a mystery as of now? In the past, actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol have undergone major makeovers for the first and the second part of the film. The actresses have all don bikinis too.

Karishma Kapoor back again in Bollywood

Karishma Kapoor comeback in Bollywood after a long sabbatical of five years! She has signed an erotic thriller film with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. The film is named ‘Dangerous Ishq’ and is supposed to be a 3-D flick.

“Lolo never really announced her retirement even after her marriage to industrialist Sanjay Kapur in 2003. Despite being busy with her domestic life and subsequent motherhood (daughter Samaira was born in 2005, son Kiaan Raj in 2010), Karisma has always had film offers. She has remained in circulation by signing many endorsements but has now finally given the nod to Vikram`s film. His last film ‘Haunted’ 3-D did well at the Box Office. That was the clincher for her."

Karisma had been looking to return to films for a long time and she turned on many offers that where made to her. But she has agreed to choose Vikram’s film as her comeback project.

Vikram said to a daily, “When I first gave Karisma a narration, she loved the story and the script. It`s a woman-centric film and she plays the main character. ‘Dangerous Ishq’ is a thriller based on past-life regression. We start shooting in September in Rajasthan."

"It`s a role I haven`t done before. The script is very interesting and working in the 3-D format will be a new experience for me," she said to a tabloid.

Baba is politically driven : SHILPA SHETTY

Shilpa seems to have had differences with her yoga mentor. She is of the opinion that Baba is politically driven. She feels there is no need to agitate in the manner he held a campaign at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.

The lady had sought Baba’s blessings before launching her yoga DVD and had gifted him with one of those as a token of love.

"I don`t support what he`s done and the manner in which things have been carried out. As an Indian citizen living in a democracy it is my right to practice, live and voice my opinion. And Baba Ramdev has the same right. I support his theory that corruption should be reduced but I don`t know if I can support the way he`s doing it.”

The actress expressed her heartfelt sympathy towards those men and women who were brutally beaten up on the fateful night.

“Each one of us has the capacity and capability to deal with corruption in our own individual way. It`s sad and traumatic to see so many people affected —women and children hurt... All this is a bit gory for me, and I can`t support it. I am upset with the way the whole thing was carried out. I support his yoga — that`s all," Shilpa added.

However, Shilpa has great regards for him as a yoga guru but she fails to understand the political angle he has attached to his image.

Bipasa pouring her heart to Ranbir Kapoor

Their nine-year love story came to an end, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu may have called it quits. what they are undergoing right now is an aftermath. It can be remebered that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were once an item, and now they play agony aunts for a couple who was in love for nine whole years. Bipasha only recently claimed that she needed no shoulder to cry on, but also admitted that she and Ranbir meet up once in a way.

We are told, Ranbir was candid with Bips when his relationship with Deepika ran into troubled waters. However, John and Deepika have become friends only recently.

Angela Johnson and Ranbir for Dhoom 3

Ranbir Kapoor’ and former swimsuit model Angela Johnson was recently found auditioning for a hot, sizzling role in Yash Raj’s ‘Dhoom 3’.

Angela, who has set her eyes on Bollywood was called for an audition at the studio. Talking to a daily, a source said, “There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in ‘Dhoom 3’. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them.”

“What also worked for the ‘Dhoom’ makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short…almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That’s why they have had more meetings with her,” added the source.

“We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project. As for whether she is a part of ‘Dhoom 3’, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on,” said the YRF spokesperson.
