John Monday expressed his support for Anna Hazare’s anti-graft stir by breaking a special dahi handi named ‘Anti Corruption Handi’ with his forehead.

At the handi breaking ceremony on the occasion of Lord Krishna`s birthday there, John supported the girls` team and cheered for them. The Bollywood hunk, sporting a Gandhi cap, awed the crowd interacting with them in chaste Marathi.

John Abraham, who is set to re-emerge as an action hero with his upcoming cop-film ‘Force,’ chose to use that platform for the music release of the film. Actor Nishikant Kamat and director Vipul Shah accompanied him.

The model-turned-actor made his debut in Bollywood as a passionate lover with ‘Jism’ (2003) and then moved on to action with ‘Dhoom’ (2004) followed by ‘Kaal’ and then the terrorist drama ‘New York’ (2008).

Real-life bodyguards should be honored : Kareena

Actress Kareena is planning to meet the bodyguards of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar and felicitate them for their work, commitment and dedication towards the protection of the stars.

Kareena Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her new film "Bodygaurd" with Salman Khan, will felicitate the real-life minders of Bollywood stars.

Aarakshan touched Deepika’s Life

Jha`s latest explores the politics behind reservation in education system and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika and Manoj Bajpai in key roles. The film hits theatres on August 12.

Deepika Padukone, who stars in Prakash Jha`s `Aarakshan`, says she got admission in college by flashing her `sports certificate`.

Saif plays Deepika`s love interest in the movie while Bachchan is her father. So while the core subject of the film was dramatic enough, the demand of the script was for Deepika to share certain chemistry with Bachchan.

And the 25-year-old actor admits that she was flustered to share screen space with Bachchan.

"Before stepping into `Aarakshan`, I had never interacted with him (Bachchan) very closely. I had perhaps met him a few times socially on a `hello-hi` basis but that`s about it. Due to that I was really very flustered on the first day of the shoot as I didn`t quite know what to expect from him," said Deepika.

Deepika also feels that scenes between her and Bachchan create several brillant father-daughter moments in the movie.

"I think what also helped was the fact that Prakashji has written several moments quite brilliantly for the film. There are these little moments between Amitji, Tanviji (Azmi) and myself that present a close knit family. The sense of togetherness has been brought out well here."

Munna Bhai will be seen in Reality Show

Sanjay Dutt is excited about his TV debut with reality show ‘Bigg Boss 5,’ but admits he is nervous too!

"I`m pretty nervous doing it. I`ve never done it, I don`t know what it will be but I know one thing that it will be very different," Sanjay, who turned 52, told reporters.


The actor, who is said to be teaming up with Salman Khan for the controversial show, reveals Salman won`t be with him throughout the season. Nevertheless, he promises to try to make it fun.

"Salman will introduce me in the show and will do two episodes with me and then I`ll be on my own. Salman asked me to do it and I thought I should do it. It`s something new for me. It`s a good platform. I`m going to have fun. That is the way I am. I will not make it serious," he added.

‘Bigg Boss’ is a reality show where celebrity contestants stay in a single house for about three months, with no connection to the outside world. They are overseen by a mysterious person known as ‘Bigg Boss,’ whose only presence in the house is through his voice.

Sophie Monk offered $1 million to Pose Nude

Sophie Monk has been offered $1 million to pose nude for Playboy magazine. But She is, however, yet to take any decision.

"I got offered Playboy - the cover, they`re trying every angle to get me to do it. They`re relaunching the whole thing and making it old-school again because it kind of lost it for me. When I was younger I was like, `I want to be on Playboy.` My mum was a Playmate ... she was hot,"Said Monk.

"They`ve offered me a million ... and it`s negotiable how much you show. I don`t know, though. Some people are like, `No.` My agents, they said it could stop me getting movies," she added.

Sonakshi was the original choice to play with Shahid

Apparently, Sonakshi Sinha was the original choice to play Shahid’s love interest in the film. But the filmmakers felt that she wouldn’t make a good pair with Sasha, so they changed their minds and opted for the slim framed Kapoor girl.

Sonam Kapoor, who won a role in Shahid Kapoor’s home production, `Mausam`, might be thanking her stars but newbie Sonakshi Sinha has no fond memories related to the film.

Reportedly, junior Shotgun was to give a screen test for the film which never took place. And Sona did not appreciate such a move from the filmmakers` end.

However, Shahid is now keen to work with the `Dabangg` hottie and has been sending this message across through his friends. But the daughter of Shotgun that she is, she wouldn’t dampen her self respect any longer.

So we might not see the Shahid-Sonakshi jodi sizzle on the silver screen unless the two young actors decide to reconcile.

Rajinikanth returns after treatment

The 60-year-old actor, who made his mark as a character actor in the movie ‘Aarulirunthu Arupathu Varai’ (From Six to 60 Years), was flown to Singapore May 27 and admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital the next day.

Rajinikanth was discharged from the hospital last month but he continued to remain in the island country for periodic check-ups and to get sufficient rest.

On May 13, he was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here with fever and fluid retention following acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems. He was discharged from hospital May 28.

At the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Rajinikanth underwent advanced treatment, including hemodialysis.

Rajinikanth was given a rousing reception by his fans at the airport here. The actor had a few words with his fans while accepting the wishes of others by waving his hands at them.


The matinee idol is expected to resume shooting for the movie ‘Rana, produced by Ochre Studios headed by his daughter Soundarya.

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is cast opposite him in the movie directed by KS Ravikumar.

Security at the airport was beefed up as a large number of the actor`s fans turned up there when the superstar arrived here by Singapore Airlines.

Genelia and John marriege has finally been negated

The much-hyped story about Genelia D'Souza and John Abraham getting married has finally been negated. And the man responsible for spreading the vile rumour, a pandit named Bhagwat Guruji, who was recently quoted in the media about John and Genelia’s supposed marriage has finally been proven a liar.

The wedding scene in question was shot in Malshej Ghaat a few months ago and in the exact same manner that such scenes have always been shot for the big screen in the past. Sources close to the film reveal that the wedding sequence was not shot in tandem and that a bevy of makeup artists and stylists helped John and Genelia with wearing the ‘mangalsutra’ and garlands.

Producer Vipul Shah is furious that his lead actress is in the middle of a fake controversy. He says, “Countless number of weddings have been performed in Hindi cinema but this is the first time that I have come across someone so keen to be in the limelight that he can go far enough to claim to have married Genelia D'Souza off! I don't hold anything against Pandit Bhagwat Guruji but will not let anyone point fingers at the leading lady of my film in this manner. He is only looking out for his ‘15 minutes of fame’ without any real standing. The whole incident is bizarrely shocking and there is no truth to it at all. Any such claims should be dismissed as a desperate attempt to gain attention."

On behalf of Genelia D'souza, her spokesperson states, “The bizarreness of the pandit’s claims is astounding. It is extremely unfortunate that someone would try to take advantage of just being in the same scene as Genelia D’Souza in this manner. This truly is an eccentric attempt to grab the headlines.”

Jennifer Aniston enjoys talking freely

The 42-year-old actress said that being able to play a stereotypically-male part was one of the "most fun" roles she has ever had, reported a website.

"I enjoyed it thoroughly. I really did. It was probably one of the most fun roles I`ve ever had. I`d have to say. That`s usually a guy in a movie. That`s a part that a man plays. So, it was really fun to sort of be a woman and play that with absolutely no apologies," Aniston said.

The star, formerly married to actor Brad Pitt, also said that she relished being able to abuse men in the film.

When asked whether she enjoys being abusive to males, she joked, "Generally speaking, sure."

Aniston recently said that she can "get dirty" when it comes to arguing with her boyfriends.

Sonakshi Sinha out of Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam

Actress Sonakshi Sinha has been dropped from Kamal Haasan`s ‘Vishwaroopam’ because she was incapable to lose enough weight for the role in the film. But Sonakshi has claimed she walked out of the project because it took too long to start.

According to the director the film requires to do lot of action scenes and therefore the actress playing the role needs to be lean and have an athletic physique.

Sonakshi has a tendency to put on weight if she doesn’t stick to her diet and exercise regime diligently.

A source close to the project revealed to a daily what went wrong. "The makers gave her a couple of months to get lean. She had to do outfit trials and also begin physical training. However, she was unable to look the part even after that."

The filmmakers wanted to start shooting by June-end. But the buzz in Tollywood is that she lost out on the role due to her weight trouble.

Kamal Haasan is considering some other faces for the film. "It`s a big budget film and he doesn`t want any more delays. The reason he chose Sonakshi is because he really liked her work in ‘Dabangg’ and thought she would appeal to the audience down south as well.

Akshay more action with Rowdy Rathore

Now Akshay Kumar is learning traditional combat karate for his role in `Rowdy Rathore`. He is a black belt in Taekwondo.

The 43-year-old actor, who is extremely fitness conscious, will soon be heading to an undisclosed location for two months to train in this form of martial art.

Directed by Prabhudeva, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and co-produced by designer Shabinaa Khan, the film has Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay.

"The movie will introduce to audiences a new kind of sport and being the professional that he is, Akshay has decided to take two months off to train intensively in combat karate," said a source.

"Set in the rustic heartland of the country, the film has a lot of action and required a star who knew the technical know-hows of his dangerous sport. Akshay seemed the perfect fit since being a trained martial arts professional he could pull the role off with panache," the source added.

Katrina Kaif busy for DHOOM 3

Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan in Yesh Raj Film’s Dhoom3. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were also considered for the role, but ultimately it went to Kat.

‘Dhoom 3’ would be Katrina’s fifth film with the banner. The actress has just wrapped up ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ opposite Imran Khan and is soon to start shooting for Kabir Khan`s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with Salman Khan. She is also doing Yash Chopra`s next with Shah Rukh Khan.

Speaking to a daily, a source informed, "Kats will have a sexy makeover for the film, as per the tradition. A Dhoom girl is supposed to look extremely sensous.

That was the clincher for her."

Shilpa seems to have had differences with her yoga mentor. She is of the opinion that Baba is politically driven. She feels there is no need to agitate in the manner he held a campaign at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.

The lady had sought Baba’s blessings before launching her yoga DVD and had gifted him with one of those as a token of love.

"I don`t support what he`s done and the manner in which things have been carried out. As an Indian citizen living in a democracy it is my right to practice, live and voice my opinion. And Baba Ramdev has the same right. I support his theory that corruption should be reduced but I don`t know if I can support the way he`s doing it.”

The actress expressed her heartfelt sympathy towards those men and women who were brutally beaten up on the fateful night.

“Each one of us has the capacity and capability to deal with corruption in our own individual way. It`s sad and traumatic to see so many people affected —women and children hurt... All this is a bit gory for me, and I can`t support it. I am upset with the way the whole thing was carried out. I support his yoga — that`s all," Shilpa added.

Bipasa pouring her heart to Ranbir Kapoor

Their nine-year love story came to an end, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu may have called it quits. what they are undergoing right now is an aftermath. Ranbir Kapoor’ and former swimsuit model Angela Johnson was recently found auditioning for a hot, sizzling role in Yash Raj’s ‘Dhoom 3’.

Angela, who has set her eyes on Bollywood was called for an audition at the studio. Talking to a daily, a source said, “There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in ‘Dhoom 3’. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them.”

“What also worked for the ‘Dhoom’ makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short…almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That’s why they have had more meetings with her,” added the source.

“We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project. As for whether she is a part of ‘Dhoom 3’, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on,” said the YRF spokesperson.

Salman want to make sucessful family
